We do not accept internal transfer applications from first-year students who are in their first-semester of study. Please contact your current college advising office for more information.
Students who entered Cornell as an external transfer student are not eligible to apply to internally transfer to the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. External transfer students are also not eligible to apply to double major with the Dyson School. If you have questions, please email admissions@business.cornell.edu.
Special Instructions for CALS target college selection: The CALS Internal Transfer admissions process includes a REQUIRED meeting with an Advising Contact for your target major. The purpose of the meeting is for you to understand the opportunities and requirements within the major, as well as to discuss how to complete required courses within the timeline of your expected date of graduation. Following this meeting, the Advising Contact will submit a feedback form to the CALS Admissions office regarding your candidacy, which will be included with your application materials. Specifically, responses to the following questions will be submitted by the Advising Contact:
1) Do you believe that the student has a solid understanding of the major?
2) Do you believe that the student should be able to complete the major requirements within the timeline of their expected date of graduation?
2) Do your recommend this student for Internal Transfer?
3) Do you have any additional comments to share?
